  • 6. BUDDHISM • Unlike Hinduism , soul dies along with the body • Personality, deeds and past actions are transferred to the soul of a new body • In Buddhism, At the death of one personality, a new one comes into being, much as the flame of a dying candle can serve to light the flame of another • The consciousness of the new person is same as the previous one.
  • 7. CHRISTIANITY • Though the major Christian denominations reject the concept of reincarnation, a large number of Christians profess the belief • Man is the special creation of God, created in God’s image with both a material body and an immaterial soul and spirit. He is presented as distinct and unique from all other creatures—angels and the animal kingdom alike. • Not mutually alike belief systems.
  • 8. Jainism • Same basic believe as Hindus • However Karma forms a central and fundamental part of Jain faith. • Every Action has its consequences some immediate, some delayed, even into future incarnations. So the doctrine of karma is not considered simply in relation to one life-time, but also in relation to both future incarnations and past lives. • What goes around comes around

  • 11. • Allah Taa’la says in Quran: “How can you deny God, when you were dead and God gave you life? Then God will cause you to die, and then revive you, and then you will be returned to God.” (Quran 2:28) • And says: "O soul who is at rest, return to thy Lord, well-pleased with Him, well-pleasing Him. So enter among My servants, and enter My garden." (89:27-30)
  • 12. MEANWHILE… • The idea of reincarnation is accepted by a few Muslim sects. • Reincarnation was also accepted by some streams of Sufism. Modern Sufis who embrace the idea include Bawa Muhaiyadeen • It is claimed by some sufi groups that the mystics and poets in the Islam tradition have celebrated this belief: "I died as mineral and became a plant, I died as plant and rose to animal, I died as animal and I was man. Why should I fear? When was I less by dying?" • However Sufis like Hazrat Inayat Khan has criticized the idea as unhelpful to the spiritual seeker.
